Since our last installment, we have had plenty of state leads lower and new faces take over in the rankings. Let's talk about that APS Quad #20 matchup of Sandia's Adriana Tatum and Savanna Lawson going up against La Cueva's Sima Lucero. First, it was Tatum besting Lucero in the 200m for a new #1 24.50 and #2 25.20 state marks while in the 100m hurdles it was Lucero getting the better of Lawson with a state lead at 14.96 to her 15.11.  Also to note that Sima Lucero remains the only girl this year to break 60 seconds in the 400m (59.30) from her performance a week prior. Back to more hurdle action, Hanna Kiess is also moving up the rankings from her double victory at Larry Baca Memorial Invite over Los Alamos' Bailey Yost who will be taking on Sadi Butler of Artesia in the 4A matchup.  It's heating up in the state of New Mexico as championships approach. Check out all the New Mexico girls' sprints and hurdle rankings as of June 9 on the next pages.
