This weekend had stellar performances from across the state including Rio Rancho Invitational boasting a pair of sprint stars. Pojoaque Valley's Alicia Quintana won the 100m (13.33),200m (28.14), and 400m (1:04) while Hope Christian's James Jenkins won the 100m(1.33), 200( 22.03), 400m (51.32), and high jump both doing so with limited rest between. Kidus Tekle winning both hurdle events and Sterling Glenn once again dominant in her throwing events. The Academy Invite had a pair of Hilltoppers going at it in the 800m with Emma Montoya and Norissa Valdez going 1-2 to land the #2 and #3 best times in the state. Cleveland Invite had quite a performance for Alamogordo athlete Yvonne Stinson who won high jump, long jump, and coming in second behind teammate Justyce Martin in the 200m.
