BREAKING: Cross Country Planned for a Sept 14 Start Date

The New Mexico Activities Association has released its initial plans for cross country to return this fall starting September 14th, aiming for State Championships being contested November 13-14. Cross country would be contested alongside the Golf season while Volleyball would begin to play starting in October. If the current schedule remains intact, that would make cross country one of three sports contested in the fall. Some changes being made may include limiting the size of meets, staggering time of events, and preventing any lingering around meets and also the arrival and departure of schools. It is unclear whether spectators will be allowed at meets this fall or if there may be limited capacity.

For Track and Field athletes, the track season has been pushed back to an initial April 5th start date with the state championships being held June 17 - 19 for 1A-3A schools and June 24-26 for 4A and 5A schools.

Below is the sports schedule for the 2020-2021 school year
