New Mexico Virtual Meets for the Decade Spanning 2010 through 2019
Alonzo Chavez remains arguably the top 2A distance runner of the decade.
Shown below is a 2A Boys virtual meet for the decade just completed (2010-19). I took all results--including Great Southwest and summer club meet results (though I do not believe 2A Boys had any of either checking in as athlete top times) and scored the virtual meet eight deep according to the 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 protocol. That's not the scoring system New Mexico uses, but it does have certain advantages--and especially so for a decade meet.
In events where wind readings are potentially meaningful, I ignored wind readings. With so many results not accompanied by wind readings, that was the only reasonable way to do it.
Schools included are schools that were listed as 2A in the current cycle. Thus, not all of the schools shown below were 2A for the entire decade.
Note: The version of RaceTab I'm using has an issue with correctly scoring ties at 8th place. I've corrected the scoring on the individual events, but not in the team table below. The changes in the team table, however, would be miniscule.

It looks like we declare Texico the winner, and by a large margin. Clear across the state, Lordsburg pulls into a tie for second with Santa Rosa. But, if we correctly team score the high jump, Santa Rosa moves ahead of Lordsburg for second-place honors. Clayton runs a solid fourth.
