Los Alamos sweeps 4A

Los Alamos girls 1-2 punch guides them to 4A victory

The biggest victory of all the girls championships, Los Alamos landing four in the top 10 to help land them 30 points and another trophy to their plethora of accolades. defending individual champion Norissa Valdez had to out kick her teammate Sophie Chadwick to hold on to her crown with only three-hundreds of a second separating them at the finish. A phenomenal effort for the Hilltoppers knocking off rival and defending state champion Albuquerque Academy. With Academy taking 2nd place, Hope Christian takes the last podium spot.

Hilltopper boys nail-biter finish secures back-to-back titles

When Los Alamos and Albuquerque Academy are racing each other it really is quite the show. The Hilltoppers retained their 4A title by a true duel between the Charger in what really came down to runners 4 and 5. The Hilltoppers closed the gap between each other just enough to surpassed the rest of the field.  Even with the 1-2 finish for Academy's Julian Garcia and Justin Hickey, it would only be good enough for a runner-up team finish. closing out the podium spot, just like the girls squad Hope Christian takes 3rd place team finish.
