She finished last indoor season as MileSplit50's No. 1 athlete and she will begin at the No. 1 position. With a professional 3K on tap for January and big efforts likely set for The Millrose Games, possibly also against professionals, she will get ample opportunity to break records. She comes in with the national record in the 5K

Top returner in the 200m and No. 2 returner in the 60m and 200m. Could potentially become just the third girl all-time to break 52 seconds in the 400m all-time

She hasn't run indoors since 2016 and she likely will only race in one event in 2019: The Millrose Games. If Williams races as she's done lately, her name is much warranted on this list

Davis will give the indoor season a nice go, with the final race expected for New Balance Nationals Indoor. She finished last season as the No. 1 athlete in the 55m, 60m and 200m. There's a chance Davis moves up all the way to No. 1 this season.

A coveted half-miler with the chops to race all the way down to 60m or up to 1500m, Mu will likely put down some significant times this indoor season. Will be invited to race at Millrose? Will Mu drop her 2:06 best even further?

Chmiel is No. 9 all-time in the 3K and is the No. 2 returnee at the distance. She'll also race the 1500m and potentially a few more distances.

Watch out for the freshman. She should throw down some truly fanatical times this indoor season.

Stark is coming off a gold medal at the Youth Olympics and has loads of confidence. She was second to Jones at NBNI in the 60mH, but that race was nearly identical. Stark, like Jones, will have a chance to go after the national record in the 60mH and drop her 200m time as well.

Notes:
1. Oakland Park Northeast (FL) High School junior Briana Williams will find herself on this indoor list, but the double medalist for the Jamaican junior team from this past summer at the IAAF U20 Championships at 100 and 200 meters may only compete at the Millrose Games in February. The Florida sprinter will likely race sparingly as she prepares for a potential bid to make the senior team in 2019.
