4. Abram Schaap, Volcano Vista, senior
Outdoor: 100m, 200m, 400m
Schaap has impressive range in the sprints, which speaks to his versatility. In the 100m dash, Schaap ran a PR of 10.80 in 2016. At the state meet, he was third overall in the 200m with a time of 21.87 and won the 400m dash outright with a time of 47.43, which was his second straight championship. His 400m run is where he cuts his teeth. He followed with a third-place performance at the Great Southwest Classic and was 24th at New Balance Nationals Outdoor. He also competed at the USATF Junior National championships.
