Who would have thought when Paul Roberts graduates, Lyons wouldn't miss a beat at the front of the field?
The next Roberts (and there are more) spent the better part of his race quietly plotting strategy from obscure places (like eighth, sixth, and fourth) where nobody would suspect what was coming. What was coming, however, was a furious finish that would push him from third to first in the final 100 meters.
