Rio Rancho, despite nearly an entire season of other teams nipping at their heels, walked away from their own course with the big prize last Saturday. It appears the 5A (soon to be 6A) boys dynasty label made a trip across town on Saturday and doesn't figure to be coming back any time soon.

At least that's what the earliest returns on next year's race say. It's time for the other newly-minted 6A teams to start building their programs, because Rio Rancho has the goods in place for a nice, long run.

With Josh Pyeatt being the only senior projecting into next year's top five for Rio Rancho, the Rams are young and loaded. Devin Paredes and Noah Dodd will be sophomores next year. Trevor Amestoy and Michael Goke come back as juniors. All five run under 17:00 at some point during the season this fall. And, the cupb...
