New Mexico’s biggest invitational season meet has now come and gone. So, what did we learn?
We learned there are some questions to be answered about the new Rio Rancho course. Since I wasn’t there, I don’t even know where to begin, but a lot of folks are puzzling over the slower-than-anticipated times.
I’m not the guy to figure out the meaning of the times, but I can readily see why the questions are arising.
At bottom, however, cross country is a whole lot more about places than about times. And, if you want a story to read, that is where the story is told.
