There's more to do at MileSplit New Mexico than you might realize.
In addition to results and articles, there's a lot here waiting for you.
Athlete pages - Did you know you had one? Click on Teams/[your school name], and then click on your name from the team roster to view your personal athlete page. If you claim your page, you can add some biographical information plus add a couple of profile photos at the top. Go ahead, make it your own and personalize it. We'll add results to your page as they come in. Please note that athlete pages have multiple tabs with different types of information available on each tab. Take a while, explore.
Team pages - Coaches, you can add a team graphic plus maintain an up-to-date roster and schedule on this page. All users, you can access season-best marks (more a track feature than a cross country feature, but useful for both), you can access time series graphs of athlete performances, access alumni records, view all articles pertaining to your team, and much more.
Rankings - All users have access to athlete rankings for both track and cross country. Rankings can be filtered by classification or district for a closer look at your competition. Subscribers are able to dig further into the rankings by running virtual meets and performing cross country team scoring based on a variety of measures--3 mile, 5K, 3200, and 1600 times. Rankings are only as accurate as the results received, so please make it a point to help get all meet results submitted to this site in an electronic format.
Meet pages - Meet pages are open to all users. Meet directors can post meet information such as driving directions and race schedules. If photos or video are available for a meet, those will be accessible through the meet pages. Meet history is also available here, allowing you to go back through previous years' results from a meet or comparing meet times between two different years. For users who are comfortable with cameras and technology, you can upload meet photos to an album viewable by all users (see instructions below).
Old results - To find old results, simply click on Coverage on the main navigation bar. Select the year, then scroll through the list of meets for which results are available.
Meet calendar - To see a complete-as-we-can-make-it schedule of meets for the current season, simply click on the Calendar link on the main navigation bar. This will give you a quick view of upcoming meets.
In short, there's a great deal that you can do and learn about your favorite sports on MileSplit New Mexico. Most of the content is free content and content is always updated as new meet results arrive. You won't find any place that covers New Mexico cross country and track and field more thoroughly, more quickly, or more accurately.
Posting Meet Photos to an Album
1. You must be a registered user on the site.
2. Resize your photos to 960 pixels wide. Nearly every photo editing program has a utility to batch resize photos. Save these resized photos in a separate directory for easy access and identification.
2. Log in with your username and password. Then click on the meet for which you wish to add photos (either from the calendar or from the front page). This will take you to the meet home page.
3. Click on the Add Your Photos link on the right side of the meet page, below the links for meet results.
4. This will take you to the photo uploader. Fill in the name of a race (e.g, Varsity Girls) in the Subalbum text box. Find your photos using the directory structure on the left-hand side of the photo uploader. Select all photos from that race and drag them into the upload area. Click on the green upload arrow and wait until all photos have uploaded. Then repeat the steps for all races for which you have photos.
5. Now you and your friends, and even people from other schools, can enjoy the photos from the meet. Athletes can tag photos they appear in so that those photos are linked to their own athlete pages.
