After a loaded field and near-perfect conditions produced an eye-popping day of cross country racing in 2012, could the 2013 NXR-SW Regional be even better?
Despite needing to run 17:38 individually or run as a member of a sub-91-minute team to move on to Portland, almost all of the key players return from the 2012 event and would seem to answer with a resounding, “You'd better believe it.”
Last year, Pine Creek of Colorado Springs (Altitude) became the region’s first girls at-large bid to NXN last year. From a July perspective, it certainly seems possible the region will get another in 2013, and maybe it will be another team like Pine Creek, who come into the season mostly under the radar.
