Among those competing in Saturday's junior men and junior women divisions of the USA Cross Country Championships at the Forest Park cross country course in St. Louis, Missouri, will be no less than seven entries from the State of New Mexico.

The junior men will be racing a full 8K, substantially longer than the standard high school 5K distance. Named to the Wings of America team back in November were Jacob Riley (Laguna-Acoma), Preston Panana (Sue Cleveland), Mckenz Leekya (Zuni), Preston Charlie (Rio Rancho), and Brandon Levi (Piedra Vista). These positions were earned by their respective finishes at the Nike Cross Regionals race in Mesa, Arizona, back in November.

New Mexico will also have two contestants in the junior women's race, Winona Martin and Wyonna Martin, both of Grants High School. The junior women will be stepping up to a distance of 6K for this race.

Results will be posted at this site as they become available on Saturday.
