We're officially hitting our stride in the cross country season. Week after week, athletes are delivering their best performances yet.

Who deserves National Performer of the Week honors?

Before we get to this week's nominees, let's take a look back on who earned that recognition last week.

It was an open and shut vote, as East Lake (FL) High School's Parker Valby grabbed the award with 75-percent of the vote following her career best run at the North Port XC Invitational. Valby broke 18 minutes for the first time, finishing in 17:46.90.

Katelyn Tuohy, who ran the fastest 5K recorded in high school girls cross country history, was second overall with 272 tallies and 21-percent of the vote.

A big congratulations goes out to Valby (and Tuohy!).

Now on to this week's candidates. Who do you think had the top performance nationally? Vote in the poll below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Check back Friday to find out the winner. We'll publish National Performer of the Week polls every Monday following the previous week's action.
