Coaches: how to build your schedule on your team page

Everything you ever wanted to know about MileSplit site functionality!

Filling out your schedule on MileSplit is simple to do. And doing so helps your parents and athletes to more quickly access information about meets.

Note: This article, and all other articles assume a couple of things. They assume that you have established a username (registered) on the system and that you are logged in. If you haven't done that yet, go ahead and do it now. In addition, some of the functionalities assume that you are a MileSplit Insider. If you are not an Insider already, you can become one here.

Building your schedule on MileSplit helps to keep your staff, your team, and your team parents informed about upcoming meets. You must be registered as a coach or a team admin to create a schedule on MileSplit, but no further permissions or a subscription are required to do this.

To build your schedule, log in and click on Teams on the main navigation bar. From the list of teams on that page, select your team.

At your team page, click on the black Team Manager button beneath the school name. This provides you adminstrative access to your team page. On the left side of the team admin page, click on Schedule/Results. Clicking there will bring up your edit schedule page.

To add a meet to your schedule, first make sure the correct state is selected from the state dropbox (yes, it is possible to add out-of-state meets to your own schedule). Then, click on the date box and select the date you want to add a meet from the calendar widget that pops up. Once the date has been selected, click on Find Meets.

A dropbox of all the listed meets for that date and that state will appear. Select the meet you want from the list and click on Add Meet to Schedule. Repeat this procedure until you have added all meets for the season to your schedule.

All meets on the schedule have a location listed for those meets. Many meets also have a time schedule, and sometimes a course map, posted on the meet page. This is useful information for parents and athletes alike. If you host a meet, you can add this kind of information to your meet page. To learn how to do this, please reference the how-to-do-it article on adding images and documents to a meet page.
